Thank you, so glad I found your work. I read the Yellow Wallpaper a few months ago as part of my bookclub. I’m sad to have missed the talk linking this with Poe however I am registered for the next one in May.
Haha - you may *sometimes* read authors other than EJB and yet the short story host led right back to her. Ahhhhmazing Eichenberg illustrations! I've read 3 of the 4 short stories the museum blog paired with WH. Making a mental note to some day read Morella so I can have a perfect score. :) Have you seen Mike Flannigan's miniseries (modern take) on The Fall of the House of Usher? I remember enjoying it.
What a moment to have your new trail discovery link up with a Mourning Cloak butterfly! And thank you for sharing the event link for diving into ECH's "strange, magnetic drawings." I'm registering now...
Isn't it funny that EAP led me right back to EJB? I'm hopeless! ♡
Side note: Are you familiar with, "Closed on Account of Rabies?" a double-CD produced in the late 90s (not unlike The Yellow Wallpaper, I once owned it and stupidly got rid of it) it includes an absolutely gorgeous performance of Ulalume, by Jeff Buckley and an eerily delightful reading of The Tell Tale Heart by Iggy Pop. So fun!
I've not seen The Fall of the House of Usher (note to self: watch trailer). I'm woefully out of touch with any series/films made within the last, oh, two decades. I shall seek it...
I SO treasure that trip to Baltimore--and that photograph of Poe's house. 😆
Oh my lord--I still can't believe I donated The Yellow Wallpaper literally weeks before you were looking for a copy of it--I'm so glad you got your hands on it!
Looking forward enormously to the ECH talk online soon! How lovely to find a new walk and to be rewarded with a Mourning Cloak Butterfly too.

Thank you for the side note - I had no idea of its existence!
Love Poe! (And driving in circles in Baltimore 😂) And I have gotten to read The Yellow Wallpaper…loved it 🩷
